The construction industry consumes approximately 40% of the global material flow and generates about 33% of the North American solid waste stream ** Cesaroni understands the importance of addressing the need for the construction industry to consider its use of resources and the impact of our industry on the health of our planet. Through discussions with our sub-contractors and our own research and education in this regard, we are committed to offering our clients information on how our projects can be more environmentally friendly. We are committed to reusing/redirecting/recycling waste generated on our construction sites in an attempt to divert material from landfills. We have developed partnerships with various charitable organizations who are equipped to take in this material and assist in diverting it from landfills. We have examined some of the more common components in our projects and have examined how they can contribute to our efforts in this regard (listed below). Also, our LEED accredited staff can offer assistance with the LEED Green Building Rating System. Our intention is to continue this process as it is clear that green construction is not a short-lived trend, but a permanent shift in how the world uses energy and natural resources within the spaces we live and work.
